Originally a hospital that opened in 1894 and later transformed into a retirement home, Ripponburn has a rich history. Nestled on 2 hectares of land next to a cherry orchard, this charming, old-style facility combines the warmth of tradition with a tranquil atmosphere.

Whether you are enjoying the serene surroundings or engaging with fellow residents, Ripponburn offers a truly unique and down-to-earth living experience.

Nestled amidst the tranquil grounds of the Ripponburn Lifestyle Village, your modern spacious villa offers you or your loved one the independence of your own home, and the reassurance of help nearby if you need it.

Ripponburn Lifestyle Village offers a close knit and caring community, resthome and hospital care available on site if needed, and minutes away from the shops, cafes, local parks and library.

    Cromwell’s central location makes it an excellent base for exploring the wider Central Otago area, allowing for easy day trips to nearby towns such as Queenstown, Arrowtown, Wanaka and Clyde.

    Central Otago is the preferred holiday destination for many people for good reason so go that one step further and live here! Cromwell has a low annual rainfall with high sunshine hours. The outstanding landscape has so many opportunities to play outdoors with walking/bike tracks and the lake for water activities. The Highland Motor Sport Park and Cromwell Race Course provide entertainment for the whole family.

Juliet Towers

Juliet leads Golden View and Ripponburn with warmth, resilience, and a strong belief that aged care is a privilege. Originally from just outside London, she qualified as a nurse at 30 after a varied career and found her calling in emergency nursing before moving into aged care. What started as a part-time role quickly grew into a management position, and since relocating to Central Otago in 2015 she has managed facilities with heart and purpose.

Juliet is passionate about ensuring no one is ever just a number or a room, but a person with a story worth knowing. She is known for her compassion, and commitment to making residents and families feel truly at home. Outside work, Juliet enjoys life on her lifestyle block in Tarras with her husband, daughters, her mum, and a lively collection of animals.
